"Jack and Jill"  - Scenic Rendering

Scenic rendering for "Jack and Jill" at Round House Theatre.
This rapid-fire drama with but two speaking roles demanded a means for the silent chorus, which doubled as the crew, to appear abruptly in the action.  We lined the sides of the stage with black pivoting panels that could play open, closed, or at an angle, allowing the chorus to "materialize" in an instant. The sleek, glossy, angular red deck and back wall mirrored the hot but armoured emotional life of the lead characters.
